AIS 1.5 has now completed the Preview Phase RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • We are pleased to announce that the Asset Inventory Service is now officially released and has exited the 'preview' phase.

This new release offered capabilities that allow you to better manage your Microsoft volume licenses, so you can quickly understand your compliance position.  By introducing a volume license agreement area, where you can upload agreement numbers, AIS gives you an easy-to-read statement that compares your entitlements to your installations.

To use the new features, log in to your AIS account, and click on the 'License Management' bar on the lower left of the screen.  Next follow the agreement upload wizard to upload your VL agreement numbers to generate a statement that gives you entitlement/install comparisons.

Changes to the AIS client have also been implemented with this upgrade, and your clients will auto-update themselves without any action required on your part (unless you have disabled AIS auto-update, in which case you can log into AIS and download the latest client).

We welcome your comments and feedback!
