Hallo,
ich habe den pop3 connector eingerichtet und bekam die Meldung, daß die Mails abgeholt wurden, jedoch mit Fehlern und ich in der Ereignisanzeige für Exchange nachsehen soll was los war. Dort fand ich u.a. den Fehler 5586

Diese Fehlermeldung (s.a. http://technet.microsoft.com/de-de/library/cc561042(office.12).aspx) sollte nichts mit Deinem eigentlich geschilderten Verhalten ("bekam die Meldung, daß die Mails abgeholt wurden, jedoch mit Fehlern") zutun haben.
Deswegen schau bitte noch einmal in das richtige Event-Log "Microsoft Windows Small Business Servre/Operational" - s.a.:

Hi, danke für die Antwort. Ich habe jetzt die Datei "Programme/Sbs/logs/pop3connector/pop3service.log" ausgelesen. Die sieht schon ganz anders aus. Habe einiges entfernt - siehe Lücken, ich hoffe, daß das was blieb ausreicht. Offenbar werden mails geholt, aber es gibt immer noch Fehler.

Unter anderem mit der Größe - aber ich brauche einiges davon, die Anhänge können durchaus größer sein.

Wie hier schon häufiger empfohlen:
Stell auf direkten SMTP Empfang um, der POPConenctor ist eine Lösung NUR für die "Übergangszeit" von POP Abholung zu direkter SMTP Zustellung, keine Dauerlösung!

10MB Limit ist beim SBS nicht nur beim POPConnector der Standardwert, ich würde sofort auf SMTP Umstellen und die verbliebenen POP Mail mit den Outtlooks dr Mitarbeiter aus den POP Konten ziehen.
Alles andere ist imo unprofessioneller Kinderkram. (my2cent!)

Ähm. Das verstehe ich jetzt nicht ganz. Ich habe mal vor Jahren gelernt, daß SMTP immer für den Versand zuständig ist. Seit wann denn auch für den Empfang? Empfang war doch immer pop, imap.
Darauf deutet doch schon der Name hin - "Send Mail Transport Protocol"

Im Ernst, nix "Send...", SMTP heißt "Simple Mail Transport Protokoll":

Ja, SMTP versendet das Mail bis direkt in deine Exchange. Verlang von

Rotfl. Ok, mein Fehler. Meine Ausbildung war kurz und ist schon sehr viele Jahre zurückliegend. Da habe ich wohl ohne praxis einiges vergessen. Doch mit SMTP haben wir damals nie versucht Mails zu holen. Immer nur versendet.
Nichtdestotrotz - man findet im Soho Bereich doch eigentlich meist nur Einstellungen für den Versand für SMTP, während beim Empfang POP und IMAP immer auftauchen.

Reicht das mit der Änderung, oder muss ich noch was am Server einstellen? Ich habe die Internetverbindung, Internetdomäne und Smarthost bereits eingerichtet.

Wie ich bereits sagte: POP ist eine Client-, kein Serverprotokoll!
Sprich es wird von Clients verwendet, Server stellen nur den entsprechenden Dienst bereit. Server verwenden POP nicht! Nur im SBS Umfeld kommt es, vermutlich wegen der bisher exklusive Clientvergangenheit der Techniker, immer wieder vor das dort diese POP Krücken auf servern eingerichtet werden! DNS Eintrag? dedicated Server?Du musst dafür sorgen, das Port 25 von extern auf den SBS geleitet wird (Portforwarding) und das der MX REcord in der DNS Zone der externen Domain auf die externe URL des SBS verweist.
Ob das Forwarding funktioniert kannst du (von Extern!) mittels:
telnet externeURLdesSBS.firma.de 25
prüfen.
Dabei muss dann sowas angezeigt werden:220 externeURLdesSBS.firma.de Microsoft ESMTP MAIL Service ready at Tue, 7 Feb 2012 09:0 +0100

Wenn Du auf dem SBS die Einrichtungsassistenten erfolgreich und korrekt durchgeführt hast, sollte der SBS zum SMTP Empfang konfiguriert sein.
Ich würde noch DNS Blacklists und IMF konfigurieren bzw. anpassen und so, aber grundsätzlich sollte SMTP funktionieren.

Hi, danke für die Antwort. Ich habe jetzt die Datei "Programme/Sbs/logs/pop3connector/pop3service.log" ausgelesen. Die sieht schon ganz anders aus. Habe einiges entfernt - siehe Lücken, ich hoffe, daß das was blieb ausreicht. Offenbar werden mails geholt, aber es gibt immer noch Fehler.

Ignorier dieses hochgestochene "es muss immer SMTP sein!" Gelaber, der Pop3 Connector tut und es ist nicht nötig jedes kleine Büro mit fester IP anzubinden.
Zwei Ursachen...
Einmal der Exchange Anti-Spam. Unter Organisation -> Hub Transport die Anti Spam Option abschalten bis auf "Empfängerfilter".
Ursache zwei ist das standardmäßige 10 MB Limit bei Exchange 2010, das muss an drei Stellen hochgesetzt werden. Einmal unter Serverconfig -> Hub Transport -> die Empfangsconnectoren (alle), sinnvoll ist da 102400 KB. Dann Organisation -> Hub -> Sendeconnectoren, sinnvoll ist da entweder 40960 KB oder 61440 KB. Und als letztes Organisation -> Globale Einstellungen -> Transporteinstellungen, sinnvoll ist da wieder 102400 KB.

Das ist jetzt nicht Dein Ernst, oder?
Ich kenne diese Probleme, der beim SBS2011 mitgelieferte pop3 connector kann kein multidrop, und den Rest der beachtet werden muss habe ich schon beschrieben. Klar hat SMTP-direkt vorteile, wird von mir auch meist so installiert. Es muss aber nicht immer SMTP Direktanbindung sein, das kategorisch immer absolut abzulehnen ist eher ein Zeichen von mangelnder Flexibilität oder festgefahrener Denkweise.

Da hast Du aber leider unterschlagen, dass bei falscher Einstellung das ganze im Nirvan verschwindet oder eine einzige zu große Mail weitere Abrufe/Zustellungen verhindern. Und zukünftig entfällt der POP-Connector, da es SBS in dieser Version nicht mehr geben wird.
Mangelnde Flexibilität oder festgefahrene Denkweise, lasse ich mir gerne vorwerfen, wenn wie in diesem Fall diese nur zur Erhöhung der Systemsicherheit und -stabilität führt. Im prof. Umfeld des SBS ist kein Platz für Fehlerquellen oder Experimente. Das kann man zuhause am Homeserver machen.

ich hatte die selbe Fehlermeldung. Dank dieser echten Antwort auf eine Frage konnte ich mein Problem schnell lösen.
Auch ich habe SMTP und POP-Connector installiert wie machbar.
