slideshow with network drive as source RRS feed

  • Frage

  • Hi all,

I´m trying to set up the wallpaper slideshow with a network share as source. This works perfectly fine while the win10 machine is up and running.

But it does not work when cold booting. Network drives are automatically connected but wallpaper is not loaded. If i open up the dialog, it seems to refresh the connection as the picture is shown at once. If I start up the file manager before this, it shows a red cross to until I click on the share, then the connection is re-established.

    Annoying.

How can I force Windows to really re-establish the connection BEFORE this wallpaper slideshow tries (and fails) to access the network drive?
I thought about a simple batch file wich excutes a simple <dir> command. This works but sometimes the batch is executed after the slideshow initialization.

Not the biggest of all problems, I know...

  • You must write a script for startup (taskplaner on logon, 15sec delay minimum) to set the network shares (e.g. powershell or .BAT with net use). It is discussed in german in other threads.

Windows does this not by hisself.
