Availability between trusted Exchange 2010 - Cross Forest RRS feed

  • Allgemeine Diskussion

  • Hi, hope someone can help me with my issue, because it drives me insane!

    I have following configuration:

Source Domain (Windows 2008 R2 Forest Level):

    • 2 Hub/CAS 2010 SP1 RU6 (Site1 active, loadbalanced CAS Array)
    • 2 MBX 2010 SP1 RU6 (Site1 active DAG member)
    • 1 Hub/CAS 2010 SP1 RU6 (Site2, passive)
    • 1 MBX 2010 SP1 RU6 (Site2 DAG member, passive)

Target Domain (Windows 2008 R2 Forest Level):

    • 2 Hub/CAS 2010 SP2 RU1 (Site1 active, loadbalanced CAS Array)
    • 2 MBX 2010 SP2 RU1 (Site1 active DAG member)
    • 1 Hub/CAS 2010 SP2 RU1 (Site2, passive)
    • 1 MBX 2010 SP2 RU1 (Site2 DAG member, passive)

SMTP Namespace is in both Exchange Organizations the same (in source authoritative and in target configured as internal relay)

A Domain trust was established (two way) and also DNS configuration is in place and working.

I created the availability config and addressspace as shown in following articles:

    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb125182.aspx

    http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/archive/2010/12/01/3411630.aspx

Here's the Export of the source Domain Availability addressspace:

While testing the configuration with this command (from the target Domain):

    Test-OutlookWebServices -Identity:migratedUser@TargetSmtp.Dom -TargetAddress:NotMigratedUser@SourceSmtp.Dom

    I received following error:

When querying Availability for the recipient e-mail address NotMigratedUser@SourceSmtp.Dom, the following error code and message were received: ErrorProxyRequestProcessingFailed:Unable to send cross-forest request for mailbox <NotMigratedUser>SMTP:NotMigratedUser@SourceSmtp.Dom because of invalid configuration., inner exception : AvailabilityAddressSpace 'SourceSmtp.Dom' couldn't be used because the Autodiscover endpoint couldn't be discovered.

BUT if I ping 'autodiscover.sourceSmtp.Dom' I can reach the Source CAS-Array.... and I can reach Autodiscover, and EWS URL in the browser from the source Domain (and vice versa) without certificate warning (I already imported the RootCACert on all HUB/CAS Servers) but I have to type username and password.

I prepared the user objects in the target Domain with prepare-moverequest and migrated the users with ADMT 3.2, so far so good, after the move of the mailboxes of certain (Test)users there is no free/busy Information between already migrated and non migrated users.

In Outlook and OWA the migrated users (MEU) are visible (from both Domains), but no free/busy, error message: 5016 error contacting Server. if I enable Outlook logging, I receive more or less the same error message.

So, I hope this is all Information I can provide, pls help me with this issue.

Looking Forward to hear from somebody soon,

    regards
