Hello,
according to this technet article: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc511507.aspx
it should be possible to redirect a autodiscover.domain.com (sublevel domain) with http redirect to a correct autodiscover.domain.com/Autodiscover/autodiscover.xml file...
I'm trying to set up a Cloud based Exchange Account, the Online Exchange is accessiable via mail.hoster.com even so the autodiscover is on mail.hoster.com/Autodiscover/autodiscover.xml
in a clients DNS zone, i've created the subleveldomain autodiscover and uses the domainhosters http redirect feature for this domain, where i entered the mail.hoster.com address...
when testing the configuration with testexchangeconnectivity.com it looks like that the configration is working, but when trying to connect with outlook 2010 it isn't working, also the autodisovery test of outlook 2010 points out that its not even trying
to use the http redirect method!
same problem on Phone 7... autodiscovery isn't working...
on Outlook 2011 (on mac) the autodiscovery http redirect is working indeed! its pointing me to the message that its gonna be redirected and the outlook mac clients configures correctly... (even entourage 2008 web services edition does this!)
any ideas what the problem could be???
thx
