Hyper-V: Memory of VM updated (now 12 GB RAM): Server only consumes 1,2 GB RRS feed

    hi there

    I've a server, which uses 8 GB memory. After I could delete an other Server, I gave this server 12 GB memory. (Server shutting down, Settings, Memory,...)

    Then I started my server and I was really surprised that it was very, very slow. Takes more than 45 minutes to start. In the Task Manager it shows, that only 1,2 GB RAM are used and 10,500GB are free.

    Has anyone an idea what's wrong?

    Hi Marcel,

    as Nils already stated please share more details around your environment. I would assume that you are talking about an virtual machine + OS is windows 2003? Also please provide more details around how you did created the VMs and also if I/O can be excluded from the negative performance investigations?
