win 2008R2 WU is accessing - crl.microsoft.com - a1363g.akamai.net -www.microsoft.com -e13678.dspb.akamaiedge.net

    Frage

  • One windows server 2008R2 managed by internal WSUS, the windows update service is logged with accessing the following URLs:

    - crl.microsoft.com

    - a1363g.akamai.net

    -e13678.dspb.akamaiedge.net

    I've found this thread https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/7dbdbd4c-aca1-4fdb-bc73-9d292ce1df4d/how-to-stop-windows-server-from-trying-to-connect-to-microsoft-windows-update?forum=winserverwsus

But the WU is still accessing those URLs even after I turned off Automatic Root Certificates Update, by the following steps:

    1. (Group policy)Expand Computer Configuration, expand Administrative Templates, expand System, expand Internet Communication Management, and then click Internet Communication settings.

    2. In the details pane, double-click Turn off Automatic Root Certificates Update, and then click Enabled.

    So why?
