Da ich weiß, dass Folder Redirection- / Offlinedateien normalerweise über VPN nicht funktionsfähig ist weil unsere VPN stellt erst nach der Anmeldung mit Cached Credentials eine Verbindung her es sei denn und FR natürlich immer im offline modus befindet.
Trotzdem erwarte ich nicht, dass dies Weg https://4sysops.com/archives/how-to-disable-folder-redirection/ funktioniert wird.
Es ist besser, den Inhalt unserer Dokumente auf Laufwerk C: \ zu kopieren und dann die Folder Redirection zu deaktivieren, indem wir diese Registrierung ändern ?
HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders\Personal
und dann den Wert wieder in %USERPROFILE%\Documents anstelle von Network path ändern?
Ich habe gehört, dass das durch änderung die Reg Key FR nicht unbedingt deaktiviert, es sei denn, der Windows Explorer beendet wird und entweder durch Ausführen eines Skripts oder eines Befehls neu gestartet. Wird diese Aktion notwendig sein?
Ich mache das, um danach einen reibungslosen Migration zu OD4B/KMF zu haben. Ein besserer Vorschlag oder eine bessere Problemumgehung wird sehr geschätzt. Since i know Folder Redirection / Offline files are usually non-functional unless of course it is set to be always offline and because VPN doesnt connect until after login with cached credentials , I am doubting if removing offline files via GPO admin templates
using the approach here https://4sysops.com/archives/how-to-disable-folder-redirection/ will apply or one is better off copying the contents of my Documents to C:\ drive and then disabling folder redirection by modifying this registry

and then changing the value back to %USERPROFILE%\Documents instead of Network path.
I heard just pushing that Reg key doesnt necessarily disable FR unless the Explorer is killed and restarted again either by running a script or command. Will this action be necessary?
I am doing this in order to have a smooth transition to OD4B/KMF afterwards. A better suggestion or workaround will be appreciated.
