when trying to install VS 2015 on a “Win 7 Pos Ready” machine, the splash screen of the
Visual Studio 2015 Professional with SP2 installation shows briefly, then vanishes again. The installation stops at this point without having done much. In C:\Users\<User name>\AppData\Local\Temp
a log file like the attached one appears. This happens similarly under different users, with installers from different sources and regardless of whether the Installer is run “as Administrator”
with Administration rights or not
We would be grateful for advice on how to get the VS 2015 Installer to work.
The machine is an Intel I7 3<sup>rd</sup> generation, 16GB RAM, 120GB SSB with a lot of empty space.
