    Hallo zusammen
    Wir haben folgende Umgebung:
    - Windows Server 2008 64bit RE2 english
    - SCCM 2007 R2 english
    - SQL 2008 SP1 english
    - WDS und DHCP sind nicht auf dem gleichen Server jedoch im gleichen Subnetz
    - sämtliche Server sind virtuell
    - Clients Windows 7 Enterprise 32bit english
    Folgendes Problem tritt auf:
    - Die Tasksequence läuft ohne Probleme an. Bei Schritt "Expanding Windows files" bricht die TS bei ca. 45% ab respektive bleibt ca. 1 Minute beim Schritt "Setup windows and ConfigMgr" stehen und bricht dann mit dem Error 0x80070040 oder 0x80004005 ab.

    Danach müsste folgendes kommen (dies hat ein Vergleich mit dem SMSTSLOG aus einer anderen Umgebung ergeben):

    - Die Tasksequence läuft ohne Probleme an. Bei Schritt "Expanding Windows files" bricht die TS bei ca. 45% ab respektive bleibt ca. 1 Minute beim Schritt "Setup windows and ConfigMgr" stehen und bricht dann mit dem Error 0x80070040 oder 0x80004005 ab.
    Gute Frage ... 0x80070040 ist ja "The specified network name is no longer available" und 0x80004005 = "Unspecified error".
    Im smsts.log steht nicht mehr? Im Ausschnitt oben taucht ja kein Fehler auf. Such mal auf der ganzen Platte nach weiteren smsts.log-Files; je nach Zeitpunkt des Abbruchs könnten da mehrere vorhanden sein.

    Habe nochmals gesucht und wirklich noch ein smsts.log gefunden...War wohl blind...

    Den Fehler hatte ich auch schon mal und er hat mir (fast) graue Haare verursacht ... bei mir lag's an dem Productkey. Hast Du in der TS einen angegeben? Lass den mal weg und probier's nochmal ...

    Guten Morgen Torsten

    Ich habe eben auch schon (fast) graue Haare...
    Dies mit dem Productekey habe ich in diversen Foren gefunden. Hab's mit und ohne Key versucht.
    Ohne Key siehts im Log so aus:
    <![LOG[Windows setup failed, code 3221225478]LOG]!><time="08:09:46.086+-60" date="02-25-2010" component="OSDSetupWindows" context="" type="3" thread="1368" file="setupwindows.cpp:440">

    Habe inzwischen ein Schritt nach dem anderen der TS aktiviert.
    1. Partiton Disk -> funktioniert
    2. Apply Operating System (Properties "Apply operating system from an original installation source") -> funktioniert
    3. Apply Windows Settings (ohne Product key) -> funktioniert
    4. Apply Network Settings (Join a workgroup) -> funktioniert
    5. Setup windows and ConfigMgr -> hier bricht die TS bei "Expanding Windows files" ab und im Log ist zu lesen: Windows setup failed, code 3221225478

    Welche SP-Version hat denn SCCM eigentlich?
    Was steht auf dem Client in %windir%\Panther an (brauchbaren) Logs?
    Geht's um "Apply operating system from a captured image" oder "Apply operating system image from an original installation source "? Eher letzteres oder?
    Was für eine Netzwerkkarte ist im Rechner?

    3. Es geht um "Apply operating system image from an original installation source "

    Es wäre nett, wenn der Fragensteller entweder seine Lösung, oder falls der letzte Post geholfen hat, das hier mitteilen würde. Sonst hat nämlich das Forum keinen Sinn!

    @TomBE: Hat das geholfen? Wir bekommen nämlich auch die HPQ dc7900.

    hätte ich dir (jetzt, 2 Jahre später, wo es denn 2012 gibt, sry) folgendes anzubieten.

    Bei mir kommt der hin und wieder, bei "Programm installieren" innerhalb einer Tasksequenz.

    A) Check die Syntax des Programmes, hatte das schon, dass sich bei neuer Version die Exe geändert hat (nicht setup sondern setup07.exe) jemand hat den Programm Befehl kopiert, geht nicht.

    B) Es ploppt irgendein Fenster auf, kannst du während der Tasksequenz oft gar nicht sehen. Alles muss KOMPLETT silent sein... manchmal ist es echt schwer...

    C) Paket erneute mit dem Verteilungspunkt Syncen, bzw. Verteilungspunkt löschen, dann neu einbinden, Syncen lassen.

    D) Das komplette Packer einmal neu-erstellen.

    In eurem speziellen Fall könnte es vermutlich wohl auch tatsächlich helfen, mal zu gucken ob alle Treiberpackete i.O. sind und das Image erneuern.
