SMB 1.0 network shares stopped to work in Windows 10 2004 RRS feed

    Hello,

    our network shares to a Buffalo Tera Station stopped working after upgrade to Windows 10 2004 on a 7 year old laptop. Update of Tera Station to a higher SMB version is not possible. I thought the outdated hardware would be the reason and bought a new laptop. But the symptom is the same: the shares work with preinstalled Windows 19.03 - but after upgrade to 2004 the network shares to Buffalo (not the other ones) stopped to work. But the support for SMB 1.0 is activated in the laptop. Is there a workaround or do we have to replace our Diskstation?

    Da scheint Microsoft nun SMB1 endgültig aus Windows entfernt zu haben.
    Schließlich gilt SMB1 schon lange als veraltet und unsicher.

    Geräte, die nur SMB1 können, auszutauschen ist sicherheitstechnisch definitiv eine gute Idee, ich sage nur WannaCry. Dennoch ist die SMB1-Unterstützung auch in 2004 noch vorhanden. Was Du dir anschauen solltest, ist das Windows-Feature "SMB1 automatisch entfernen". Das scheint aggressiver geworden zu sein. Falls es aktiv ist, deaktiviere das mal und schau, ob es besser wird.
