In-place holds does not work on my system? RRS feed

  • Frage

  • Hi,

on my Exchange 2013 I tried "In-place holds", but after configuring and executing I can still delete messages permanently in the recoverable items folder. What went wrong?

Here is the result for the mailbox search:

But "In place holds" does not work on my system:

    • I can still delete messages permanently in the recoveryable items folder.
    • Using mfcmapi I have NEVER seen a folder "Root Container\Recoverable Items\DiscoveryHolds".
    • Using get-mailbox the flag "InPlaceHolds" is empty "{}". After the first Start-MailboxSearch is was NOT empty (array of "InPlaceHoldIdentities"?) but now it is empty again. I cannot see any permanent mailbox flag for "In place holds". Using litigation hold in Exchange 2010, there was a permanent "LitigationHoldEnabled =TRUE". Is there a the permanent mailbox flag for "In Place Holds" in Exchange 2013?
    • The EAC has NEVER shown me the mailbox property "In Place Hold".

    Greetings, George
