Upgrade von Windows 7 Home Premium (Acer OEM) auf Windows 7 Professional (Action-Pack) RRS feed

  • Hi !

It was my understanding, that it´s possible to use the Lizenz-Keys of Windows 7 Professional (64Bit) zu Upgrade from a Windows 7 Home Premium. But it seems not to work.

    1st I donwloaded W7 Prof. 64-Bit and created a DVD.

I have a Acer Aspire One 722 which has a pre-installed Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit. So a started the DVD and choose Upgrade > after some time I got the message to use "Windows Anytime Upgrade" and the program ended.

Based on this, my next try was to use  "Windows Anytime Upgrade" > as questioned, I entered the Key, which was displayed on our Action Pack Download Page. After some time for verification this ended with the information that the process cannot be done and I have to use another key.

Before I try to do a clean installation, where I´am not sure, if this will work with the downloaded DVD and the Key, I want to ask, what´s wrong with the steps I have already tried.

In general, let me say this is very frustrating and extremly time consuming !

    Best regards
