Some clients are not getting policies

    Frage

  • Hello,

In my company we getting a strange problem. Few computers had succesfully installed configuration manager but few days ago (I don't know why) they stopped getting updates, apps, etc. In SCCM console they're visible and status is Active.

I foud out that, they are not getting policies. In action tab there are only 2 actions.

Location and MP in Configuration manager is set correctly.

I've already tried reinstalling client, repair WMI but with no luck. What makes it more funniest - few moments after reinstallation client is getting policies correctly, all actions are visible, there are no errors in logs but after few minutes it's all gone.

    Thanks in advance for help.

  • Please check the boundaries. Monitor the log files locationservices.log and clientlocation.log

And follow the blog Troubleshooting issues where clients are not reporting http://blogs.technet.com/b/configurationmgr/archive/2009/08/10/troubleshooting-issues-where-clients-are-not-reporting.aspx

  • Boundaries are ok. The locationservices.log and clientlocation.log are not showing any errors.

Like I said, client is getting policies and then is loosing it.
