encrypt AND sign emails RRS feed

  • Frage

  • Hello Guys,

I realized by a script to send emails encrypted OR signed.

My new challenge is to send emails encypted AND signed.

The current part of my realization:

    $Mail.PropertyAccessor.SetProperty($PR_SECURITY_FLAGS, 0) # unsigned, unencrypted

    $Mail.PropertyAccessor.SetProperty($PR_SECURITY_FLAGS, 1) # encrypted

    $Mail.PropertyAccessor.SetProperty($PR_SECURITY_FLAGS, 2) # signed

    $Mail.PropertyAccessor.SetProperty($PR_SECURITY_FLAGS, ???????) # signed and encrypted

    Thanks a lot!

  • Hi Thomminger,

when trying to combine multiple options of a flags enumeration, you add their integer numbers. So, since you are trying to combine encrypted (1) and signed (2) that would be encrypted & signed (3).

This assumes that this is a proper flags enumeration though - it should be one, but documentation was hard to find, so I couldn't ensure it.

    Cheers,
    Fred

  • Hello

As i see this is bitwise... also i have read that -4 sets both off. Therefore i would give a test with

    $Mail.PropertyAccessor.SetProperty($PR_SECURITY_FLAGS,4) # signed and encrypted

  • hello david,

at first I'll send you a big THANKS for your reply.

I tried your proposal, BUT it was not the solution of my problem :-(

After changing the flag to 4 the emails were neither encrypted nor signed.

Maybe you have another idea which help me to solve the issue.

    THANKS!!!!

    regards

  • THANKS! It works fine....

I'm wondering a littele bit because I tried this "3"-flag before, but in Outlook the mail was shown only as encrypted one.

When I open this email both signs for encrypted and signed were shown now.

Whatever...it works and you made my day !!!

    Cheers,
