SBS 2011 Essentials: AD-created users not in dashboard, cannot access RWA RRS feed

  • Frage

  • Hello,

this is a 2011-newbie making first experiences with SBS 2011 Essentials, hope you can help me. :-)

I found it very annoying that the dashboard insists on setting permissions in ntfs separately for each user I create, which takes about half an hour for each user! I rather chose to create a myUsers group in AD and assigned the ntfs permissions to that group. (Obviously dashboard is not with me any longer, but that would be worth it as it seems to be ignorant to groups.)

That said, I created a few users in AD, added them to myUsers group, also added the myUsers group to the RA_AllowRemoteAccess and other RA_ groups.

Still, those users cannot login to Remote Web Access. I even tried adding a user directly into the RA_...groups, but no difference.
What else do I need to do? RWA works for a test user that I created.

I found a some references to Import-WssUser, but this does not seem to exist on my SBS 2011 Essentials (others like Import-SCV are there).

    Any ideas are welcome,
    thanks in advance!

    Philipp
