DPM 2010 How to protect a Linux server

Hi Rudi,
as far as i know (and i am pretty sure) dpm does not support backup of linux systems. There is one exeptions: if the linux system is an VM on an hyper-v machine. But also if that is the case i would not use it to backup an oracle db. Why? Because when you backup the VM, oracle is not aware that it is backuped and so it doesn't use the archive mode for the database. Because of that you will not get a consistent backup of the database.
Hope that helps (and by the way you can write german in this forum)
