Project Server 2013: Hammock Tasks/ Speed of update within a local project plan RRS feed

    Dear Forum,

    i'm using the feature of hammock tasks within a local project plan. I have ~15 of these tasks and 15+1 milestones that are used to define start and finish of the hammock tasks. Currently my observation is that updating the hammock tasks takes quite long: it takes between 10 and 30 seconds (on a notebook with 3GHz and 8 GB RAM, WIN 8.1) to transfer the milestone changes to the hammock tasks. There are resources assigned to the hammock tasks.

    Is there a way to accelerate the updating of the hammock tasks?

    Hi Philipp,

    no, we have no special accelerator for calculating hammock Tasks. The only thing what you can do is to update your Project Pro with the actual CU and/or use the 64 Bit Version of Project.

    In some cases we have performance issues in both the Server and the Client. In addition there are a lot of bugs which were fixed in the past. The actual Version No is 15.0.4641.1001.
