Exchange 2013: Outlook and Outlook Anywhere Authentification RRS feed

    Hello,

    I have installed a new Windows 2013 server (DC) and an Exchange server 2013. The server is running and I can access to the user mailbox

    with OWA. But If I tried it with Outlook 2013 or Qutlook anywhere, I get the message, that the server can´t be found.

    On the oher Side, if I tried to connect to the DC as an Exchange server, the correct server is found after using the credentials from administrator

    the correct exchange server name is entered in the field and underlined. Also the username.

    But after finishing the setup and starting Outlook I got the message:


    Outlook can not be startet, the foulder group cannot be found.

    What went wrong? Is there a DNS problem?

    Hi Uwe,

    stimmen URL und Certificate? Ist OA aktiv? Ich schiebe den Thread mal ins Exchange-Thema, da er dort etwas besser aufgehoben ist.

    Deine Antwort ist etwas knapp, welche URL muss stimmen?

    Die Zertifikate sind die, die Exchange selber ausgestellt hat, also keine eigenen damit auch keine

    "öffentlichen". Was ist "OA", welches aktiv sei muss?

    Sorry, ich bin kein Experte für 2013

    alle, denn sonst läuft irgendein Service nicht sauber. Ich habe dir noch einen Link für die ersten Schritte mitgesendet und du solltest dich auch durch die Technet Library lesen oder eine Buch kaufen.

    Exchange ist ein sehr komplexes Produkt mit vielen Abhängikeiten und man kann im Forum immer nur auf einzelne Punkte eingehen.

    Ist dein Testclient domainjoined? Prüf mal über OWA ob der Name über den du den Server erreichen willst im Cert steht.

    mit dem jetzigen Client bin ich über IPSEC Tunnel verbunden. Der PC ist nicht an der Domäne angemeldet.

    In Bezug auf Outlook-Anywhere (activesync) habe ich mal folgendes probiert:

    Es hat funktioniert. Hilft das, den Grund für das Problem bei mir einzugrenzen?

    OK, dann reichen die internen Schritte, aber du musst schauen, dass die DNS-Auflösung klappt:

    Vertraut dein Client dem Cert? Teste mal über OWA

    @all

    the problem still exists. The DNS seem to be o.k. Name resolution isw working and there are

    forward- and reverse-lookup entries for the exchange. But Outlook says, that exchange-server or

    usermailbox can´t be found

    Hi,

    it seems, that there are services missing. For example, the cmdlet reports:
