Windows Server 2003 - Indexing

Hi,

i need some dokumentation about the IndexService in Server 2003.

We run a IndexService (its a old one, clear it's Server 2003) but now some collegues find that it is a problem to work with categories.

the categories will be indexed, sometimes not. The Index (Query the Index) found most of the dokuments with .PDF or XML but no DOC or XLS.

do anyone have some Dokumentation about that IndexService ?
