Hi - we are using PPT files to offer a visual, interactive knowledge transfer product on Business Processes. The interactivity in this presentation is achieved via intra-document links. In addition we are using i-button symbols in the slides, that provide
further information via mouse-over texts.
We generated the Mouse-over texts in the following way:
- Select the i-button
- clicked on "Add Hyperlink
- Add a link to the same slide and add the mouse-over text in the Screen Tip pane
If you now go to the slide in presentation mode and mouse-over the ibutton, you see the screen tip text as mouse-over text - even if users clicked on the button (by accident or mistake) nothing happened, as the link referred to the same slide.
This solution worked fine in PPT 2003 and 2007 - we now opened our slides in PPT 2010 and had to find out, that the soution does not work any more. You can still create an intradocument link in PPT 2010, refering to the same page but when you also enter
a screen tip text, this text does not appear anymore.
Is this a bug or an incompatible feature. For us, it would mean a feature loss as it worked in 2007. Does anyone has an idea, how we can solve this issue with a different approach?
Thanks
Axel
