Project Web App cannot connect to Project Server 2010 RRS feed

  • Question

  • This morning I applied SparePoint and Project Server SP2 to our test server.

Although the logs show that it was installed fine, I am having issues.

    1)  I am unable to attach to the PWA

    2)  I get errors logged for 7626 for ProjectQ and TimesheetQ

The version we are currently(now) running is: 14.0.7015.1000

I also found this in the logs:

The machine-default permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID

{000C101C-0000-0000-C000-000000000046} and APPID  {000C101C-0000-0000-C000-000000000046} to the user AD\spfarm SID (S-1-5-21-1196570428-2472865759-3521842491-83810) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.

  • Looks like an issue with the Farm Admin Account not having appropriate permissions.

When you ran the SharePoint Configuration Wizard, did you see any errors?

I also found this, might be helpful:

  • The only error I had was the The machine-default permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID.

After running SharePoint Configuration Wizard, I can now access the PWA.  It required 2 more restarts, but I am not throwing any errors.

I have NOT updated any permissions, it appeared to have fixed itself with the SP Config Wizard

    Thank You
