Filtering a Lookup FIeld on a SPD 2010 Custom Form RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a SPD 2010 custom form NewForm1.aspx that has a lookup field called session pulled in from another list, I only want to show sessions in the dropdown when the status field in that list = available

  • Hi Matt,

You can use the custom solution provided in CodePlex which creates a custom lookup field and you can filter the values on the lookup field based on your need:

    http://filteredlookup.codeplex.com/

In addition, you can also use SharePoint Designer to achieve this goal.

Please refer to the details in the link below:

    Best Regards,

  • Creating the Calculated column based on Value that you want. Use it inside the  Lookup column . That is best solution here.
