Create Group Policy to Route Voice off of VPN RRS feed

  • Customer needs to reroute their voice traffic so that it will not go over VPN. Currently they are seeing issues with voices garbling and cutting out only on VPN connections.

    Customer created group policies to reroute voice traffic through Edge while on VPN but it did not give desired result.

    Any suggestion?.

    According to your description, this issue seems happened on VPN connection.

    Microsoft recommends moving all voice and video traffic through the Internet and not over VPN because of deploying Skype for Business over VPN results in quality decrease and service latency.

    In order to provide user the best possible audio and video experience, you must implement a solution that prevents Skype for Business Media from traversing a VPN tunnel. One options to prevent Skype for Business traffic from traversing the VPN tunnel is split tunneling. For more details about how to split tunneling, you can learn from the following link:
