ADFS 3.0 & IIS RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • I have an ADFS server that is working just fine.  It has a number of Relying Party Trusts.

We want to add IIS to the server so it can serve up a non-ADFS authentication related script.

Since ADFS has its own web server component, will IIS conflict with ADFS in anyway?  And if so, how would we mitigate this conflict?

  • Yes you can.

But you can't change the SSL bindings or certificates or the routing for /adfs and /federationmetadata.

  • Out of curiosity, can you elaborate what are you trying to achieve by doing so?

  • Basically, we need an IIS server to host a .asp file that works with a vendor for authentication using our AD. (They do not use ADFS.)

Since our ADFS server is kind of scoped to be our "authentication" server, we would like to put the IIS on it rather than build a new IIS server for one .asp file.
