removal of built-in apps

  • I'm just planing the upgrade from 1511 to 1607 (Pro) and have the problem, that I cannot remove all these built-in apps, we do not want on our clients

I know, there are the commands remove-appxpackage and remove-appxProvisionedPackage

But with neither of them I can completely remove stuff like Sway, PowerBI, Photoshop Express etc.

It must not be shown to any existing or new user.

  • Hi AndreasAu,

I have tried to remove those apps on my Windows 10.14393.693 Enterprise machine with the command "Get-AppxPackage -allusers appname |Remove- AppxProvisionedPackage " and "Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like appname"} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online".

Those apps will be reinstalled during the upgrade process. Please run those command line after you upgraded to Windows 10 1607 version.

    Best regards
