Multiple IMAP, no POP3.

Hey.
I've got a problem. Yesterday I decided to move my GMail account from POP3 to IMAP system.
I added another email account with IMAP settings, copied all my email there, and decided to delete pop3 account.
Now I have one problem. I decided to remove all email accounts from outlook 2010 and add them again. I have 2 IMAP accounts now.
Right now after trying all possible and impossible stuff I've come to this:
I have 3 data files - Outlook Data File, and 1 data file for each IMAP email account.
Everything seems to be fine, except that I don't need 3rd Inbox, Sent Items, etc. in my left pane for Outlook Data File. Also when trying to send an email from my default IMAP account (gmail one), it adds that email to Outlook Data File's Outbox, and writes an error: Task '_____@gmail.com (1) - Sending' reported error (0x8004010F): 'Outlook data file cannot be accessed.'
Also, for some reason all my contacts and calendar items are stored in that Outlook Data File.
I want:
2 separate Inboxes/Sent Items/etc for each email account. No need in 3rd Inbox for Outlook Data File. And sending of emails working correctly.
Is this possible?
Also, if I want to backup my contacts and calendar items - how should I do it? And how can I later restore them?
Why does it add Outbox letter to Oulook Data File instead of IMAP GMail's Outbox, which is, by the way not in the list on the left pane for some reason.

OK. Never mind. I sorted everything out on my own.
I backed up my contacts and calendar to a .pst file. Deleted everything, and then created 2 email accounts again. Imported calendar and contacts into a newly created Outlook Data File, and now everything works fine. It only bugs me that IMAP accounts can't store Calendar, Contacts, Outbox item, etc...

Sorry, but you are way off with you answer here. SergSlim is correct here; the additional pst-file is required since only IMAP accounts are being used which doesn't offer support for non-mail folders. Contacts and calendar items are not being stored on the server-side either as there is no Exchange server or Outlook Hotmail Connector account involved here either; it's IMAP so they only exist in the default local pst-file. It is this pst-file that needs to be included in the backups.

Hi,
>2 separate Inboxes/Sent Items/etc for each email account. No need in 3rd Inbox for Outlook Data File.
You can remove the 3rd Personal Folder File from outlook.

By default contact and calendar items is saved on Server side
>Why does it add Outbox letter to Oulook Data File instead of IMAP GMail's Outbox,
Because you set "Outlook Data File" as Default.

I have a similar issue. I have two IMAP accounts, and one POP3 account, as well as an archive .PST file which I store various emails in. One of the IMAP accounts is set as my default, however when I click send it always defaults to the Outbox of the POP account, and of course it does not send (does not allow relaying).
This is very odd. How do I store contacts and calendars in the .pst file, yet make one of the IMAP accounts be the default for creating and sending email, and NOT have emails sent through the one POP account?
