Hi all,
Recently updated to windows 10, not getting sound from windows media player, getting this error code c00d1199 saying "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used
to compress the file." even though i am playing mp3 file
When i tried with winamp or vlc sound is fine
Done following till now:
Checked whether my laptop speakers were default selected in sound properties or not- set to default
Checked device manager for any issues with audio devices- seems fine and drivers all are updated
Tried uninstalling drivers and rebooting so that windows can automatically install driver- didn't work, still same problem,
My device manager has these devices installed under sound controllers
ati high definition audio device
idt high definition audio codec
My laptop model is dell inspiron n5010
Kindly suggest some remedy
