  • Hi,

are you using Exchange as a Mailsever? In this case don´t worry this information is stored on the excahngesystem (Exchange 2010) Otherwise what about importing the Outlook 2003 datafile to Outlook 2010. IU think the fileformat hasn´t changed so this should work.

  • Sorry for the late response.  The issue is still open.  We run Exchange, but the categories don't become a part of the mailbox with Exchange 2010.  It's Outlook 2010 that uploads the category info to the mailbox, whether it be Exchange 2003, 2007 or 2010.  The question still remains: When migrating from Outlook 2003 to Outlook 2010, what's the best way to migrate categories and labels?  Thanks.

  • Hi,

test it the catagories are stored on the exchangesystem but the color that is configured for a special catagory is stored on the local machine.

It is not possible to store the color information on exchange.
