Invalid CharFX 310000000 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi everyone,

after applying some "Auto Windows Update" in our Windows Server 2003. Usually, we get this message error on the Chart published in the Sharepoint.

    Invalid CharFX 310000000

Have you any ideia what's going on?

For now, we must reinstall ProClarity and so re-publish all of our views.

    Cheers,

  • Alex,

Good morning, my name is Kristofer and I am a Support Engineer on the ProClarity team.

We haven't seen this particular error a lot and in most of the other cases for whatever reason it worked itself out before we could determine a root cause for it, however if yours is happening frequently after applying windows updates then there are a few things that could help us solve your issue.

What version of ProClarity are you running?  Have you applied any hot fixes etc.?

What dll version of ChartFX is installed?

If you run a PDCLog do you see any errors under the Chart Version Information section?

    The next time it happens instead of reinstalling and re-publishing you might try just re-registering the ChartFX files;

For example, run regsvr32 "filename" from the CMD line:
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Software FX Shared\

    "regsvr32 ChartFX.ClientServer.Annotation.dll"

    I hope this helps.

    Thanks,
    Kristofer Schlieper
