[Case Sharing] Managed Google Play Apps update issue on Android Dedicated devices RRS feed

  • Issue Description:
    Managed Google Play apps are not updated automatically on Android Enterprise Dedicated devices in Multi-app Kiosk Mode. 

    Case Summary:
    The update experience for apps installed from managed Google Play is dependent upon the Play Store's
    internal app update behavior. Once an app is installed on a device, when the app developer publishes
    an update to the Play Store the Play store infrastructure handles automatic updates of the app

    From Intune’s perspective, you can set App update settings and set up maintenance windows as follows:
    App update settings
    Navigate to Intune Portal -> Device Configuration -> Profiles -> Create a profile -> Select the platform as Android Enterprise -> Profile type as Device Owner Only-Device Restriction -> Applications 



    Maintenance windows
    Navigate to Intune Portal -> Device Configuration -> Profiles -> Create a profile -> Select the platform as Android Enterprise -> Profile type as Device Owner Only-Device Restriction -> General -> System update
