0x8008005 inconsistant volume RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We had a raid failure earlier in the week. All protection groups have come back fine par one. It reports a 0x8008005 error. I have done multiple consistency checks, but they fail. Actually they pass, I get the green tick. If I try to make a recover point manually it fails. The next sync will then fail again.

    Any ideas?

    Best wishes

    Michael

  • It is only files. In the end I deleted the replica and reprotected it. It has been fine since then.

  • Be careful with this solution.

This might refer that you have a problem with the storage. Check your storage if it does have any missing volumes.

Check as well both accounts in DPM server and Protected servers if they their password set to "password never expired"

If you keep deleting the replica and re-add it it will stop after 3 times. and you have to delete the recovery points manually and then you will be able to re-protect the files.

    Good luck!
