Indent the task RRS feed

  • Question

  • Can a second level task be indent or not by using PWA? I am trying to indent the second level task but it is showing the following error.

"You cannot create or change summary tasks with assignments while using Project Web App. If you wish to make this change, open your project using Project Professional.

Your last edit has been undone."

Believe the error dialog and use Microsoft Project 2010 to set your WBS of summary tasks and subtasks.  Hope this helps.

  • Just had this as well and struggled to find any solution in google. Turns out the parent task (previous one in the list that you're trying to creating the current as a subtask to) must not have resources assigned. Once I removed the resources from the parent task, allowed me to indent.
