  • Question

  • Hi.

    Please help me understand a issue with OAB and offline mode.

    I have Exchange 2013 CU16 organization with Outlook 2013 SP1 on clients. In offline mode all clients can working with GAL only. If User open another address list he receive a error: The address list cannot be displayed.In online mode all address list except GAL opened from Exch server directly.

    Here OAB and Address book policy configuration:

    [PS] C:\PSScripts>Get-OfflineAddressBook |fl Name, *addr* Name : Default Offline Address Book (Ex2013) AddressLists : {\Default Global Address List, \All Distribution Lists, \All rooms, \All Users, \All Contacts} GlobalWebDistributionEnabled : True

    [PS] C:\PSScripts>Get-AddressBookPolicy |fl *list* AddressLists : {\All Contacts, \All Users, \All Distribution Lists} GlobalAddressList : \Default Global Address List RoomList : \All Rooms OfflineAddressBook : \Default Offline Address Book (Ex2013)

    OAB Virtual Directories configured correctly and i can view xlm OAB via internet browser.

  • Hi Andrey,

    When you download the OAB manually, did you get any error?

    In Outlook > Send/Receive > Send/Receive Groups-> Download Address Book…

    Moreover, I recommend you have a read the following articles to understand the details about OAB in Exchange 2013, it would help us troubleshoot the OAB issue methodically:

  • Hi Andrey,

    The OAB does not list when downloading OAB in outlook, right ?

    Please run the following command to check if a problematic mailbox has applied the correct address book policy:

    Get-Mailbox -Identity a.sidorenko@yourdomain.com |fl AddressBookPolicy
