Migrate Project 2013 ERP and Users to Project Online with different domain RRS feed

  • Question

  • What is the best migration path for ERP and Users in Project Server 2013 to Project Online with different domains between On-Premise and Online?  The AAD Connect Sync is created for the new domain and a two way trust between the domains.

    Thank you

  • It requires using a 3rd party tool to migrate the users and projects into project online.  THere are several companies that do this.  FluentPro is the one that I am familiar with.

The domains are not an issue, because once you migrate users into Project Online, it will be in the MS domain.  This many not make sense thought.  Basically, user@yourdomain.microsoft.com.    There is a DNS alisa record that renames it like user@companydomain.com, but its actually in a segmented partition of the microsoft domain.
