windows update - error 80072f8f RRS feed

  • I've checked the date and time it seems I have not able to download updates. I also installed Windows6.1-KB947821-v34-x64 if this is wrong section I apologize. Thanks

  • I feel so stupid now. This issue causing it on our firewall. I am now downloading 55 new updates.

  • Try running;

    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /ScanHealth

    and then put

    \Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log

    \Windows\WindowsUpdate.log

    up on skydrive and I'll take a look.

  • Also run the system update readiness tool.

    Then check below log is error free;
    %SYSTEMROOT%\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log

  • Assuming checksur is clean you may need to perform a repair install.

  • As long as you can mount ISO it should work fine.
