  • This is one is pretty self-explicit, isn't it?

Seems like you are missing a prerequisite on this system (python-ctypes)

  • Hello,

What's the version of Ubuntu server you are discovering & hope you are using latest Linux MPs.

  • Hello,

Please check if any of below step can help:

    1) Try re-generating SSL certificate by executing below commands on Linux server

    - /opt/microsoft/scx/bin/tools/scxsslconfig -f -v

    - /opt/microsoft/scx/bin/tools/scxsslconfig -f -h <hostname> -d <domain.name>

    - /opt/microsoft/scx/bin/tools/scxadmin -restart

    2) Install Linux agent manually:

  • Hi,

Thanks a lot for getting back to me. I have tied but i am getting the error below

Python is not configured or Python does not support ctypes on this system, installation cannot continue.
Please install the ctypes package (python-ctypes)or upgrade Python to a newer version of python that comes with the ctypes module.
You can check if the ctypes module is installed by starting python and running the command: 'import ctypes'.
You can run this shell bundle with --force; in this case, we will install omsagent,
but omsconfig (DSC configuration) will not be available and will need to be re-installed.
Shell bundle exiting with code 61

  • Thanks a lot for your advice !

It helps us to find a root of problem with an Ubuntu agent push install (SCOM 1807+Ubuntu 18.04). The similar code error, but different explanation

The SCXCertWriteAction module encountered a DoProcess exception. The workflow Microsoft.Linux.UniversalD.1.Agent.Install.Task" has been unloaded."

The module, mentioned above,  isn't presented in Ubuntu's Python raw install initially ,so  you have to add it to push an agent succesfully (it takes Ubuntu only, no errors at all with Centos 7).
