Hello,

i want to develop a webpart in SP2010 which will show all the activities performed, by a SPUSer, for current date.

Please tell me, how should be the approach for collecting the information for the SP database?

The only thing you can do using the object mode is to turn on auditing for your site collection and use the SPAuditQuery class to get a user's activity.

You can use the SPAuditQuery.RetstrictToUser method to limit the query to the SPUser object you pass in. You can then use the SetRangeStart and SetRangeEnd methods to limit the query to the current day.

Social Activity and Web Analytics can contain data beyond the audit log.
