  • Hi,

    What kind of OS are your clients? Which work and which not?

    Check the security layer , NLA (Network Level Authentication) is also often a problem. You will find in the properties of your session collection under "security".

  • Here you can find the diconnect codes - but i can't see any 14...

    https://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/37874.rds-session-host-server-disconnect-codes.aspx

    What code does the client display in its logs?

    You can also check config of the mstsc . At the "advanced" tab you can block the connection if there serve authentification fails.

    Is there any difference between a "/Admin" connection and a normal connection for users?

    And the environment... same subnet? same domain? client firewall on or off?

  • I am posting an answer after so long because Its seems still lot of people facing the issue.

    If you have that error, there is an easy fix that might help many users here.

    On Target Server: Open gpedit.msc => Computer Configuration => Windows Components => Remote Desktop Services => Remote Desktop Session Host => Security => Open "Require use of specific security layer for remote (RDP) connections" =>Enable => Select "RDP" => Apply => OK

    Start => Run=> gpupdate

    Hope this help you to fix this.

    Note: Though I recomend installing RDP Client 8.0 update or higher for better security.
