How to remove MOM agent RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are in the process of migrating all our XP workstations over to Win7 Pro. Notice there are a number of workstations reporting no heart beat in the MOM console. This was installed with our FCS agent. Is there anyway to remove these manually? The only option presented is to 'un-install', but the systems are using a new naming standard.

    Thank you

  • I have the first part of my question. I did a little re-search and I see the MOM agent can be removed by doing the following:

Go to MOM administrator console and select Agent Managed computers
Select a computer on the right-hand side and click "Force to
unmanaged Management node" and click Yes.

How do you remove the FCS agent from a workstation that is no longer reporting. I thought once the MOM agent was un-installed that would do the trick.

  • Hello,

Did you talk about removing the program named Microsoft Operations Manager 2005 Agent from the Uninstall or change a program control panel component on the workstation ?
