Internet shortcut issue in HP ALM RRS feed

    Hi All,

    I am sequencing HP ALM as internet plugin and created a shortcut which points to below url:

    http://hpalm:xxxx/qcbin/start_a.jsp

    When I launch the shortcut a normal user it is opening as : http://%22http//hpalm:xxxx/qcbin/start_a.jsp%22

    But if I launch the shortcut as admin then it is working fine.

    Any idea how to resolve this?

    I'm not sure how to get rid of those random letters in the URL when launching shortcut as a Normal User.

    But, I can suggest you to use SHIM so that the shortcut will be always launched using Admin Privileges & so it works properly.

    Hi Vinod,

    I have tried steps 1 and 5  in the link (http://app2pack.blogspot.com/2015/11/uac-and-app-v-50-demystified.html). But I am receiving the below error.

    I cannot perform the SHIM or registry method as this application will be deployed on server machines where we do not have any modify access to any physical files/registries.

    how does your shortcut look like in the startmenu? %22 stands for a doublequote.

    Post also the part with shortcuts from your user -or machine deploymeny xml please
