Task Scheduler does not start delayed task. RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am using Task Scheduler to launch SyncToy to back up documents from my C drive to an external hard drive. I have a Western Digital 500 gybte My Book Home Edition external drive. SyncToy successfully completes backup when initiated manually independent of Task Scheduler. Task Scheduler successfully launches SyncToy on manual demand. Task Scheduler successfuly launches Synctoy when time of launch occurs, and computer is turned on.  My problem is: if I turn computer on after scheduled launch time, Task Scheduler does not launch SyncToy program even with "delayed launch" enabled. I am logged on as administartor - no password.

In history log, I get either a 101 or 114 event ID

    Settings are:

run whether user is logged on or not
    run daily 8 am
    run with highest privledges

    I am running Vista SP2.

Thanks for any help from anyone.
