Help - Error "...trying to create a LibA.CStringLocalizer object" RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello all,

Squencing an app which, when launched, passes the following error upon startup, was wondering if anyone could lend a hand. There were no issues during sequencing and the app started just fine, starts well when on the PC it was sequenced on.

    Error text below:

     Start up

error during startup the following error occured while validating the ActiveX DLL objects:
<error opening stringlocalizer database: ActiveX component can't create object>

The error occured while trying to create a LibA.CStringLocalizer object.
One or more dlls may not be properly registered, or this exe may need to be recompiled against the latest version of the dll.

    Exe Name=Q:\<app_directory\app sub directory\app sub directory\app, Version=782.104.0

  • Is there any pre-requisite (locally installed application/driver etc) for this sequence? You said "starts well when on the PC it was sequenced on"; what is the difference between that PC and other's where it was failing?
