Task Sequence fails to start after OS install reboot RRS feed

  • Question

  • Getting this error below in the logs.

Basically what is happening is after the OS install (Windows 10), it reboots into Windows, but fails to resume the task sequence to install the apps. The blotted out user account above is the admin account. It was getting renamed via GP on reboot, but I setup a setup in the TS to rename it early on just incase that was the issue, but it didn't seem to make any difference. If I reboot the PC a second time after the initial reboot after the OS install, it will pick back up the TS and resume where it left off. It finishes the Postinstall tasks, but fails to launch the State Restore tasks after the reboot. It had been working flawless, but just recently started this behavior, I'm not sure what change would have caused this behavior.

Appreciate any help of info on what I may have setup wrong.

  • MDT needs the first autologon to happen using the local admin account. It can only resume the task sequence if the autologon is done using the built-in admin account. Are you renaming the local admin ?
