Windows SteadyState - can you temporarily disable it? RRS feed

  • Post installation of Windows SteadyState on Windows XP - can I disable it to install applications, then re-enable it such that the installed applications are now available upon reboot?

  • If you mean Windows Disk Protection in Windows SteadyState, you can log on as Administrator, install the applications, save the changes and restart the computer. You can also temporarily disable WDP, log on the user, install the applications and re-enable WDP.
