Is there an easy way to automate "Download a Copy" on Explorer11? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

We are on Windows 10 16gb RAM, 64bit operating system, 1.6ghz, 1.9 ghz. Internet explorer 11

Is there an easy way to automate the manual "Download a Copy" on Internet explorer so we can download a file to a C drive location in a second or so?

We would like to click a button on files of sizes like 35k and download it instead of having to select the files through the drop down, "Send to", select Download a copy", save, save as, locate the C:Drive area where we want to copy it, click save, click on the x when the message comes up that the download has been completed.  Select another one.

Our company does not allow third party software.

We don't know how to automate this like you would "Record a Macro" in excel and then set up a button and then click a button but we would like that.

We also don't want to use "Open with explorer" because even moving 1 file with "Open with explorer" at times may take up to 1 or even 2 minutes to download it.

    Thank You
