RDP on Apple Mac OS X RRS feed

  • Question

  • I used to have this working before but some update on Apple's, Microsofts or Java's side has broken things.

When a Mac user opens our portal through Safari the Java applet gets automatically reconised and he can log in. Then he can select a RDP app wich starts the tunnel. A window pops up wich tries to establish the tunnel. Everything seems to go well but in the end the following error occurs: The Requested operation requires you to log on to the endpoint with either of the following privileges: Local administator.

The Mac user is an administrator on his system.

Does anyone has an idea how to get Mac users to start up a tunnel?

  • I have the feeling this has something to do with the hosts file on Mac OS X 10.9. I believe the application wants to edit the hosts file but is not allowed to do so on a Mac. Any ideas to work around this?
