Windows Upate fails with 0x800704cf error RRS feed

  • Question

  • For the past week, Windows update has been failing to do an update. Whenever I try, I get his error in Settings:

The system is running fine otherwise. I browse the net just fine. I've flushed DNS and still, the error persists.

    With the latest <g class="gr_ gr_399 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace" data-gr-id="399" id="399">wannacry</g> stuff, I really want to make sure my system is patched!

  • AWESOME!

In all the time I've used Windows, I NEVER noticed (or used) this tool. Fast it is not, but who cares. It seems to have resolved my issue (and cures another issue too!).

    Thanks
