Sharepoint 2007: Could not load file or assembly version = 1.0.0.0 RRS feed

  • Question

  • An error occured during the processing of . Could not load file or assembly 'FlexnetConsultans.Slideshow, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=f056b50f3872a068' or one of its dependancies. The system could not find the file specified.

I have Sharepoint MOSS 2007 installed a Microsoft 2008 x32 server MSSQL 2008 and we use it for out intranet. I want to go to Sharepoint MOSS 2007 on Microsoft 2008 X64. I created a new server (Used the same server name as original server) with 2008 x64, MSSQL 2008, Sharepoint MOSS 2007 x64. I completely configured Sharepoint and Central admin and My Sites works fine. I attached the Content database from the old server to the new server and ran a Crawl. When I try to browse to my intranet site in IIS I get the error message posted above. Please help. I am not SQL savy or IIS savy.

  • Thank you so much for your response. I had to add some webparts from the old server and it works fine now.

  • You should also install features from old server, contentdb contains the data etc. uploaded by user, but solution is binaries with is stored on SharePoint server.

  • I did bring over the content database. Is there anyother database I should detach from the old server and attach to this new server?

  • No ContentDB is only content.

In the old SharePoint you have deployed solutions, solutions is NOT stored in ContentDB but on servers and ConfigDB - you cant move a configdb.

Use http://archive.msdn.microsoft.com/SPSolutionExtractor and extract the WSP from old server farm and deploy them on new SharePoint, be aware if some of the solution requires PID/License you need that to.

  • Hi wlisa422,

As you had your site in x32 environment and now its in x64 bit environment so first you need to change your dll properties. Go to properties of your solution library in visual studio then in Build tab check your platform target. It should be Any CPU or x64. If its not then change it and build the solution and then deploy it.
