Manage metadata properties for search (SharePoint Server 2010)
    Step number 12 says:

    12. On the New Managed Property page, in the Use in scopes section,
select the Allow this property to be used in scopes check box
if you want the property to be available for defining search scopes.

    What use in scopes section????

Am I mising something. I only have Name and Description, Type, Mapped to crawled properties, sort property, query property, refiner property, and  full text index mapping sections.

    There is no Scopes secion.

Ultimately I have a site collection administrator wanting to create a scope to use on his collection that uses the managed property we have set up for him.

the rule I am attempting to use based on everything I can find so far on this matter is to use contentclass=mymanagedproperty not sure if this is correct.

Maybe this scope check box is somewhere else in the FASt search admin section and is why i cant get what we have configured to work yet.

    Any help would be appreciated.
